Deutsche Telekom to acquire Fiberhost and Inea for €1 billion

Deutsche Telekom has agreed to acquire Polish fiber network operator Fiberhost and broadband and TV provider Inea from Macquarie Asset Management for approximately €1 billion. The deal is intended to accelerate the transformation of T-Mobile Polska from a mobile-centric operator into a fully convergent telecommunications provider offering integrated mobile, fixed broadband, and television services.

Through this acquisition, T-Mobile Polska will gain access to Inea’s more than 300,000 customers and Fiberhost’s extensive fiber network, which reaches over 1.4 million households. Fiberhost will continue to operate as an open-access network, providing non-discriminatory infrastructure access to other internet service providers.

The transaction is subject to approval by Polish competition authorities, with a target completion date by the end of 2026.
