The Polish deputy minister of agriculture, Małgorzata Gromadzka, announced a new grant for livestock producers that can provide up to 150,000 zł per farm for cooling, ventilation, monitoring and alarm systems in barns and pigsties. Applications open on 7 October and close on 6 November.

A draft amendment to the nature‑protection law, presented by MP Bartosz Romowicz, would allow tourism operators to claim state compensation for lost revenue when visitors cancel because of bear sightings.

The European Commission has earmarked a 540 million‑euro crisis reserve for fertilizer and fuel aid; 66 million euros are allocated to Poland. Five EU member states have already launched such aid, while Poland has not yet done so.

The Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) raised the limit for preferential loans for young farmers to 11 million zł, up from 3 million zł, and continues to offer a premium of up to 200,000 zł for new or expanded farms until 30 July.

Local general plans have introduced building‑prohibition zones that prevent further construction on farm plots, prompting concerns of stagnation among rural residents.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is preparing regulations to let farmers claim compensation for damage caused by protected birds such as cranes, and is working on extending state liability under article 126 of the nature‑protection act.

Finally, beneficiaries of the National Recovery Plan must finish their projects and submit payment requests by 31 July, with a later deadline of 31 October for certain agricultural and advisory entities.
