Poland music market grows 13.9% amid streaming and vinyl surge

The music recording market in the European Union generated 6 billion euros in revenue in 2025, a 5.1% increase from the previous year. According to the IFPI ‘Music in the EU 2026’ report, the EU accounted for 21.3% of global market revenues. While streaming drives approximately 66% of European revenue, there is significant potential for growth in paid subscriptions, as only 27% of EU residents currently use them, compared to 54% in the United States.

The Polish music market is growing nearly three times faster than the EU average. In the first half of 2026, the Polish market reached 515.7 million PLN, a 13.9% year-on-year increase. Digital formats generated 429.7 million PLN during this period.

In Poland, physical media also saw notable growth. Total physical revenue reached 86 million PLN, up 25.65% year-on-year. Vinyl sales rose by 46.3% to 42.4 million PLN, nearly equaling CD sales, which reached 42.8 million PLN. This represents an unusual trend where both streaming and all segments of physical media, including CDs, cassettes, and DVDs, experienced growth simultaneously.
