Poland offers pig farmers up to 100,000 PLN for ASF biosecurity

Polish pig farmers can apply for financial support of up to 100,000 PLN to implement investments aimed at reducing the risk of African Swine Fever (ASF). The program, part of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023–2027, is managed by the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR).

Eligible investments include the construction of fences, installation of feed silos, purchase of disinfection equipment, and the construction or modernization of straw storage. Funds can also be used to adapt farms to keep pigs isolated from other animals to prevent virus transmission.

To qualify, conventional farmers must maintain at least 50 pigs, while organic farms require a minimum of 27. There is no minimum animal count for those breeding native or purebred species. The funding covers up to 80% of eligible costs, with the possibility of receiving a 50% advance payment. The application process is electronic and remains open until October 1, 2026.
