Poland offers renewable energy subsidies for farmers and businesses

Farmers and entrepreneurs in Poland have access to various financial support programs for renewable energy sources (RES) and energy efficiency improvements.

From October 5 to November 3, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) is accepting applications for investments in farm-based RES and energy efficiency. This support can cover up to 65% of costs, with a limit of 200,000 PLN per beneficiary. For photovoltaic micro-installations, an energy storage system is required. Calculations for solar power are based on unit rates of 3,940 PLN per kW of capacity, while energy storage is calculated at 2,250 PLN per kWh.

In the Małopolska region, small and micro-enterprises can access energy efficiency loans through the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) of up to 3 million PLN with a 1% annual interest rate. Additionally, RES loans for businesses are available up to 10 million PLN at a 2% interest rate, covering technologies such as heat pumps, geothermal energy, and biomass. Various programs, including those from the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Krakow, remain open for applications until late 2026 or until funds are exhausted.
