Poland offers subsidies for domestic sewage treatment plants
Homeowners in Poland can access subsidies for the construction of domestic sewage treatment plants. Under programs planned for 2026, individual property owners may receive grants of up to 8,000 PLN, covering up to 50 percent of eligible costs.
Large-scale investment programs are being implemented across several voivodeships, particularly in rural and dispersed residential areas where traditional sewage networks are not cost-effective. Funding is partially sourced from the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy for 2023–2027, with funds directed toward municipalities and inter-municipal unions.
In the Łódź Voivodeship, the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has prepared a program for 2026 aimed at installing 625 new biological sewage treatment plants. This initiative follows significant regional investments, such as a 62.7 million PLN allocation that supported dozens of projects across 50 municipalities.
