Poland opens largest solar‑wind hybrid farm and expands renewable financing

The Kleczew Solar & Wind project, inaugurated by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, is the biggest photovoltaic installation in Poland and one of the largest hybrid renewable farms in Central‑Eastern Europe. Covering more than 400 hectares with about 500,000 panels and a 19.2 MW wind component, it is expected to supply clean electricity to roughly 100,000 households and strengthen national energy security.

In parallel, Energa Obrót has signed a cooperation agreement with the Spółdzielcza Grupa Bankowa (SGB) to offer customers financing for renewable‑energy investments such as photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, energy storage and electric‑vehicle chargers. The partnership aims to streamline access to capital, grants and technical support for both private and corporate projects, further accelerating Poland’s transition to low‑carbon power.

Both initiatives are part of the government's broader strategy to expand renewable generation, modernise the energy mix and reduce reliance on coal.
