Poland participates in G20 summit amid diplomatic discussions

Poland is participating in the G20 summit, marking its first appearance at the table of the world's largest economies. The event offers Poland an opportunity to represent Central Europe and discuss issues such as security, energy, investment, trade, and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

During the summit, Polish Digital Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski met with US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick. The discussions focused on joint projects, American investment in Poland, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

Following the meeting, the US Department of Commerce released photos of the encounter on social media but incorrectly identified Gawkowski as Andrzej Domański, Poland's Minister of Finance and Economy. While Domański was also representing Poland at the summit, he was not the individual pictured in the official US post.
