Poland plans up to 80 million zł in new tennis halls after Maja Chwalińska’s Roland Garros final

Polish tennis star Maja Chwalińska’s run to the Roland Garros final has sparked a wave of investment in the sport’s infrastructure. In Bielsko‑Biała, the local club BKT Advantage is expanding its complex with a new 6‑million‑zł building that will include a fitness hall, rehabilitation facilities and a hotel for athletes. Club manager Piotr Szczypka said the project aims to create “a complete, world‑class venue”.

At the national level, Polish Tennis Association president Dariusz Łukaszewski told reporters that the Ministry of Sport has earmarked 80 million zł for tennis‑hall construction, and he hopes the figure could be increased. He said dozens of new halls are planned for the coming year, each with multiple courts, to boost the country’s overall tennis base.
