European airports report record passenger numbers during summer season

Several European airports reported record-breaking passenger numbers during the recent summer travel season.

In Poland, Warsaw-Radom Airport saw a significant surge, with August recording 28,985 travelers, a 67 percent increase compared to the previous year. The airport expects to reach its 100,000th passenger milestone shortly.

Wrocław Airport also achieved record results, handling over 2.07 million passengers during the June-August period, representing a 14 percent year-on-year increase. The airport noted high demand for low-cost carriers and charter flights to destinations such as Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Egypt.

In Denmark, Copenhagen Airport reported a record summer peak, serving 9.9 million passengers over the three-month period. August alone saw 3.32 million travelers, a 3.5 percent increase from the previous year. Popular destinations from Copenhagen included Spain, Italy, and France, while long-haul demand remained strong for routes to Asia and North America.
