Municipalities implement special services for All Saints' Day
Various municipalities across Europe and Latin America are implementing special measures to facilitate public visits to cemeteries for the All Saints' Day commemorations.
In Spain, cities such as León, Cartagena, Teruel, Huesca, and La Laguna are deploying reinforced public transport, special bus lines, and increased police presence to manage traffic and ensure cemetery accessibility. Local authorities are also conducting extensive maintenance, including cleaning, gardening, and the installation of chemical toilets to accommodate the expected influx of visitors.
In Poland, cities including Bielsko-Biała, Kleczew, Złotków, Ostrowiec, and Bolesławiec are introducing temporary traffic changes, one-way street systems, and dedicated cemetery bus lines. Additionally, reports indicate that the seasonal demand for cemetery-related goods, such as candles and artificial flowers, provides significant seasonal employment and economic activity.
In Croatia, the municipality of Lokve is providing additional transport for seniors, while the city of Kaštela has organized free shuttle services using specialized taxi vans to assist citizens in reaching various local cemeteries. In Honduras, authorities in the Central District have completed large-scale cleaning and maintenance of five municipal cemeteries to ensure safe and clean environments for families.
