Poland prepares for National Education Day on October 14

In Poland, National Education Day, commonly known as Teacher's Day, is observed on October 14. According to Article 74 of the Teacher's Charter, this day is free from standard classroom lessons. However, this does not mean all schools are automatically closed; many institutions organize ceremonies, assemblies, or student performances, while others may provide childcare services.

Discussions surrounding the holiday have also highlighted tensions regarding traditional gift-giving. Some educators have expressed frustration with the influx of unwanted items such as mugs, candles, and trinkets, noting that these gifts often become clutter or are passed on to others rather than being genuinely appreciated.
