Poland to host largest military parade in history

Poland is preparing for its largest military parade in history to celebrate Polish Armed Forces Day on August 15, marking the 106th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw. The celebrations will feature a major military parade on Warsaw’s Wisłostrada and a naval parade in Gdynia and the Gdańsk Bay.

According to the Ministry of National Defence, the event will showcase over 300 units of land equipment, more than 60 aircraft, and over 20 naval vessels. High-profile equipment will include F-35 fighter jets appearing in Polish colors for the first time, alongside K2 and Abrams tanks, Krab howitzers, and Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles. The parade will involve approximately 1,800 soldiers directly participating, supported by a total of 9,000 personnel securing the events.

International allies, including representatives from the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden, and Romania, will participate. The festivities are intended to demonstrate Poland’s ongoing military modernization and its strength within NATO alliances. In addition to the main parades, various local celebrations, military picnics, and historical commemorations are scheduled across the country.
