Poland promotes civil defense training and emergency preparedness
Poland is increasing public awareness regarding national and personal security through safety guides and training programs. The “Safety Guide” distributed to millions of Polish households emphasizes preparing for at least 72 hours of self-sufficiency. Key recommendations include maintaining an emergency kit with essential medicines—prioritizing regular prescriptions, painkillers, anti-inflammatories, anti-emetics, and anti-diarrheals—as well as disinfectants, bandages, and thermal foil.
In Kraków, free civil defense training sessions are scheduled for October and November 2026. Held at the Cracow University of Technology and the University of Agriculture in Kraków, these sessions will cover recognizing alarm signals, evacuation procedures for people and pets, first aid, and cybersecurity during crises. Participants will also learn to identify disinformation and can receive a diploma upon completion.
