Poland promotes family tourism at Wieliczka salt mine and limits screen time on holidays

The UNESCO‑listed Wieliczka Salt Mine near Kraków is highlighted as a family‑friendly destination, offering guided routes such as the Tourist Route and the Legends Trail. Visitors can explore underground chambers, a chapel carved from salt, lakes and a constant 17‑18 °C micro‑climate, making it suitable for children of all ages.

A concurrent campaign by the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation and the Orange Foundation advises parents to reduce phone use during vacations. It recommends experiencing moments first, taking only a few photos, asking children for consent before sharing images, and preserving memories through senses rather than screens.

Both initiatives aim to enhance the quality of family travel in Poland by combining cultural enrichment with healthier digital habits.
