Poland proposes 2027 minimum wage rise to 4,950 zł

The Polish government has put forward a proposal to raise the statutory minimum wage from the current 4,806 zł gross to 4,950 zł gross starting 1 January 2027, an increase of 144 zł (about 3%). The minimum hourly rate for certain civil contracts would also rise to 32.30 zł, a 0.90 zł uplift.

The plan now heads to the Social Dialogue Council, where representatives of the government, trade unions and employers have 30 days to negotiate. Unions such as NSZZ Solidarność, OPZZ and the Forum of Trade Unions insist on a floor of at least 5,200 zł, while business groups argue the raise should track inflation to avoid economic strain. The government estimates that roughly 1.58 million employees on the lowest wages would benefit. If an agreement is reached, the final figure will be published by mid‑September in the Monitor Polski.
