Poland public sentiment declines in recent polls

Recent polling data indicates a decline in public sentiment in Poland regarding the country's direction and economic state. According to CBOS, 54% of respondents believe the country is heading in a bad direction, a 7-percentage-point increase from the previous month. Conversely, those satisfied with the direction of change dropped to 26%. Factors cited for this growing dissatisfaction include rising costs of living, energy and heating prices, and increased fiscal pressure.

Economic sentiment specifically shows that 52.18% of respondents believe Poland's economic affairs are not moving in a positive direction, according to OGB polling. This follows a trend of fluctuating but generally negative economic outlooks throughout 2026.

Regarding political leadership, a poll by OGB shows that while 45.5% of the general population views President Karol Nawrocki's activities positively, senior citizens (aged 60+) are more critical, with 46.6% giving him a negative assessment. Additionally, a significant majority of voters (86.5%) believe that the ongoing conflict between the President and the government negatively impacts national security.
