Poland raises minimum salaries for medical staff starting July 2026

From 1 July 2026, Polish hospitals and clinics will apply new statutory minimum base salaries for medical personnel. The amounts are calculated automatically from the previous year's average gross wage in the national economy and do not require negotiations. Physicians and dentists with specialization will receive at least 12 910.16 zł gross per month, while pharmacists, physiotherapists, laboratory diagnosticians and nurses with a master's degree and a specialization will get a minimum of 11 485.59 zł. Junior doctors, trainees and masters‑level nurses without full qualifications will earn at least 8 458.38 zł, and other medical staff with lower qualifications will receive between 7 657.06 zł and 8 369.35 zł.

The measure aims to align wages with inflation, curb the long‑standing emigration of Polish medical specialists to countries such as Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom, and help retain sufficient staffing levels in the public health system.
