Poland raises unemployment benefit amounts from June 2026

Effective 1 June 2026 Poland will automatically increase the unemployment benefit paid to job‑seekers. The basic rate for the first 90 days rises to 1 783.90 zł gross (1 623.35 zł net) and to 1 400.90 zł gross (1 274.82 zł net) thereafter. For claimants with more than 20 years of work experience, the benefit is higher – 2 140.70 zł gross (1 948.02 zł net) for the first three months, then 1 681.08 zł gross (1 529.79 zł net). The increase follows the annual re‑valuation of the benefit to match inflation and is applied automatically, without additional paperwork. Eligibility remains the same: at least 365 days of covered employment in the preceding 18 months, registration with the local labour office, and payment of social contributions. The maximum entitlement period is 180 days, extended to 365 days for persons with disabilities, large families or single parents. The higher rate also raises the amount of the internship stipend to 2 854.30 zł.
