Poland reports high number of summer drowning incidents
Poland is experiencing a high number of drowning incidents and accidents during the summer season. Official statistics from the Government Security Centre indicate that 175 people have died in water-related accidents since April 1, 2026.
Recent tragic events include a 37-year-old pregnant woman and a 56-year-old man who drowned in Siemirowice after a dispute on a pier.
