S19 expressway: GDDKiA tenders 12.5 km section completion
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has launched a tender to complete a 12.5-kilometer section of the S19 expressway between Domaradz and Krosno.
This move follows the termination of a contract with Mostostal Warszawa in May. The previous contractor was removed due to proposing design changes that were inconsistent with environmental decisions, as well as failing to respond to requests to resume work.
The new contract will follow a ‘design and build’ model. While the new contractor will not be starting from scratch, they will be responsible for preparing the necessary documentation to proceed with construction. The project is expected to take 29 months, excluding winter periods. The scope includes completing the road section, engineering structures, and developing traveler service areas in Zagórze, alongside pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.
