Poland expands 2026 aid for home renovations and energy bills
In 2026 Poland’s State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (PFRON) will increase its grant for barrier‑removing home renovations to a maximum of 144,782 zł, covering up to 95 % of eligible costs. The support is available to persons with an official disability certificate who own or lease the property and must contribute at least 5 % of the expenses themselves.
The government also introduced a one‑off heating voucher (bon ciepłowniczy) aimed at households facing energy poverty. Depending on local heat prices, the voucher can be worth 1 000, 2 000 or 3 500 zł and is awarded to applicants whose net monthly income does not exceed 3 272,69 zł for single‑person households or 2 454,52 zł per person for multi‑person households. Applications are accepted from 1 July to 31 August 2026. A separate monthly energy allowance of 336,16 zł was raised for eligible war veterans, former forced‑labourers and their widows, with no income test required.
