Poland school season: Rising consumer costs and tech promotions

A recent study by SW Research for Empiku indicates that over 50% of Polish parents expect to spend more on school supplies for the 2026/2027 academic year compared to previous years, primarily due to rising prices. However, the upward trend in spending expectations has slowed compared to previous years, with 44% of parents planning to spend the same amount and 6% expecting to spend less, partly due to the durability of previously purchased items.

In response to the school season, Lenovo has launched a ‘Back to School’ promotion in Poland. The campaign offers cashback on various electronics, including tablets, laptops, and accessories. Customers can receive a refund of 67 PLN for every 500 PLN spent, with potential total cashbacks reaching up to 2,000 PLN for high-value purchases. The promotion aims to support students using technology for academic productivity.
