Kraków promotes new tourism routes and local traditions
Kraków is expanding its tourism offerings by promoting less conventional routes to diversify visitor traffic and protect major landmarks from overcrowding. Local authorities and institutions have introduced several new thematic paths designed for both residents and tourists.
Key initiatives include the Dragon Trail, based on the Wawel Dragon legend, and the Women of Kraków Trail, which highlights the achievements of local women. The Nowa Huta district is also being promoted through the ATRIUM European Cultural Route. Additionally, the city is emphasizing local heritage through the Kraków Craft Trail and the Historical Kraków Culinary Trail, aimed at preserving traditional trades and flavors.
