Poland secures Philippine market for its apples

Poland's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development confirmed that phytosanitary conditions for exporting Polish apples to the Philippines have been completed, opening the market for the fruit. The first shipment could be dispatched from this year’s harvest, according to chief plant‑protection inspector Magdalena Makowska. Agriculture minister Stefan Krajewski highlighted the Philippines as a promising market of over 100 million consumers.

The talks also covered the possible entry of other Polish agri‑food products, including wheat (both food‑grade and feed), onions, and American blueberries, as well as animal feed imports. Officials discussed changes to regionalisation rules for avian influenza and a broader agricultural cooperation framework between the two countries.
