Poland sees rise in business bankruptcies and restructuring
Between January and September 2026, Poland saw over 7,000 cases involving business bankruptcies, dismissed bankruptcy applications, and restructuring proceedings. Corporate bankruptcies rose to 320 during this period, up from 312 in the same period the previous year, with a notable increase in the third quarter.
In addition to corporate filings, 2,133 individuals filed for consumer bankruptcy. While restructuring remains a common alternative to allow companies to continue operating through debt repayment agreements, the volume of financial difficulties remains high.
In response to the complex economic landscape, Deloitte has launched a series of webinars to assist tax, legal, and financial departments in preparing for the end of the year and the upcoming regulatory challenges of 2027.
