Poland sees surge in June long‑weekend travel to Italy, Spain and the Baltic coast

Polish travellers are gearing up for a busy June long weekend, with travel agencies reporting a sharp rise in bookings. Italy tops the list of preferred overseas destinations, followed by Spain and Greece, while domestic trips to the Baltic Sea remain the most popular. Agencies note a 26 % increase in total reservations compared to last year, with an average stay of over six days and many trips booked more than two months in advance.

At the same time, Polish road‑safety officials advise motorists to prepare their vehicles for the holiday rush. Recommended checks include lighting, mandatory safety equipment (first‑aid kit, fire extinguisher, warning triangle), tyre tread depth and pressure, and fluid levels. Drivers are also urged to stay rested, plan regular breaks, and verify road‑work conditions before setting out.
