Poland sees violent attacks in Warsaw game salon and Trzcianka home, police intervene
In Warsaw's Praga‑Południe district, two young adults broke into a popular game salon, assaulted an employee with pepper spray, and forced staff to hand over cash and a mobile phone. Police quickly located the suspects, recovered pepper‑spray canisters and imitation firearms, and placed the 26‑year‑old woman under a travel ban while the 25‑year‑old man, a repeat offender, was detained for three months.
In Trzcianka, Wielkopolska, officers responding to a domestic disturbance were attacked with an object resembling a machete. One officer was wounded, and the assailant was shot dead after refusing commands. The victim was identified as the attacker’s father. Both the injured officer and the deceased were taken to hospital, and the investigation continues under prosecutor supervision.
