Poland sets second deadline for 2026 agricultural diesel excise tax refunds
From 3 August 2026, Polish agricultural producers can submit applications for the second 2026 refund of excise tax included in diesel used for farming. The filing period runs from 1 August to 31 August and uses the same form as the February deadline, as stipulated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development regulation of January 2024.
Refund amounts are calculated per hectare of farmland, per average annual number of pigs, and per average annual number of large livestock units, with specific rates of 162.80 zł per hectare, 5.92 zł per pig, and 59.20 zł per large livestock unit. Applications are addressed to the local mayor, wójt, or city president responsible for the land’s location; producers with land in multiple municipalities may file separate requests in each.
Approved refunds will be paid by bank transfer between 1 October and 31 October 2026. Local government portals across Poland also reference the 2026 excise‑tax‑refund scheme.
