Poland shifts labor recruitment toward Asia and South America
Polish companies are increasingly recruiting workers from distant regions, including Asia and South America, to address labor shortages in sectors such as industry, transport, logistics, and warehousing. Approximately 30,000 citizens from Colombia and the Philippines are currently employed in Poland.
As some Ukrainian workers move to Western European countries in search of better wages and more opportunities, Polish employers have begun filling vacancies with staff from Nepal, India, and the Philippines. Experts suggest that even if the war in Ukraine ends, these workers may not return to their former positions, as businesses have already integrated new international staff into their operations.
