Poland: Student recounts recovery after severe electric scooter accident

Karina Łyżwińska, a former student at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, is recounting her struggle to recover following a severe electric scooter accident in 2022. The accident occurred when the vehicle's wheel hit a hole in a sidewalk, causing her to strike her face against the concrete.

The impact resulted in significant dental damage and required five complex surgeries. Beyond the physical injuries, Łyżwińska has faced a long recovery process involving hospitalizations and mental health challenges, including depression, as she attempts to rebuild her life.
