Poland suspends outdoor festivals in Płock and Bojanów amid severe weather
Organisers of the History Days in Płock cancelled all outdoor programmes scheduled for Sunday, 21 June, after a sudden storm prompted weather alerts from the regional meteorological service. Indoor activities, such as museum tours and workshops, will continue as planned, and the town asks residents to follow updates on social media.
In the nearby village of Bojanów, the municipal centre cancelled the planned family bike rally because forecasts predict temperatures above 38 °C with high heat‑stress risk. Officials warned of heatstroke, dehydration and fainting, especially for children and the elderly, and said the event will be rescheduled for a cooler date. Both organisers stressed public safety as the primary reason for the cancellations and will issue new dates later.
