Poland: Teen struck by car during live news broadcast
A 14-year-old girl riding an electric scooter was struck by a car during a live television broadcast in Kościerzyna, Poland. The incident was captured by a TVP Info camera crew while reporter Miłosz Sieliwończyk was reporting on a separate, fatal accident involving a three-year-old boy in the same area.
The collision occurred on Kartuska Street, sending the teenager into the car's windshield before she fell to the pavement. The driver, identified as a 21-year-old man driving an Audi, initially left the scene but returned several minutes later. Authorities reported that the driver was sober but did not possess a valid driver's license.
Emergency services arrived at the scene within minutes. The teenager was conscious and treated for abrasions; she did not require hospitalization. The reporter instructed the camera operator to record the vehicle's license plate to assist police in their investigation.
