Poland to conduct annual Catholic religious practice survey on October 18

The annual survey of Sunday religious practices in Poland, measuring both church attendance (dominicantes) and Holy Communion participation (communicantes), is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 18. This follows a resolution by the Polish Episcopal Conference.

According to the 2024 Statistical Yearbook of the Catholic Church in Poland, the dominicantes rate was 29.6%, a slight increase from 29.2% in 2023. The communicantes rate also saw growth, rising to 14.6% from 14% the previous year. Regional data shows the highest attendance in the Diocese of Tarnów at 62.3%, while the lowest was recorded in the Archdiocese of Szczecin-Kamień at 17.59%.
