Poland to expand SENT monitoring to include used cooking oils

New regulations in Poland will expand the scope of the SENT monitoring system starting October 31, 2026. Under the decree from the Ministry of Finance and Economy, goods classified under CN 1518 must be monitored via road or rail transport.

This classification includes non-edible animal or vegetable fats and oils used for technical and industrial purposes, specifically used cooking oil (UCO). The monitoring requirement applies to shipments exceeding 500 kg or 500 liters. This includes the transport of used oils from gastronomic points, such as restaurants and bars, to specialized entities for processing into eco-friendly biocomponents.
