Poland weather forecast: thunderstorms followed by heatwave
Poland is experiencing highly variable weather conditions during the final week of August. The period begins with cooler temperatures and unstable weather, particularly in the north and northeast, where thunderstorms, rain, and wind gusts up to 65 km/h are expected. Some regions may also see small hail.
Following this unstable period, a warming trend is forecasted. Temperatures are expected to rise steadily throughout the week, culminating in a heatwave toward the end of the period. By Friday, August 28, temperatures in southern and southwestern Poland could reach between 30 and 33 degrees Celsius, while central regions may see highs around 25 to 29 degrees.
The warm spell is expected to be short-lived, as weather conditions are predicted to deteriorate again by the weekend, bringing a return of rain and storms.
