President Nawrocki convenes National Security Council meeting

President Karol Nawrocki has called for a meeting of the National Security Council (RBN) to be held on Tuesday, November 3. The session will be classified and is expected to address current national security issues, including the potential establishment of a permanent United States military base in Poland.

The meeting has sparked significant political controversy due to the President's decision to invite representatives from the Confederation Crown of Poland, a group associated with Grzegorz Braun. This move has drawn sharp criticism from members of the ruling coalition.

Sejm Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty has formally requested that the President reconsider inviting the group, citing concerns that sensitive information could be leaked. Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński also expressed opposition, with Kierwiński labeling the group as agents of foreign influence. In response, the Presidential Palace stated that under current law, all democratically elected parliamentary groups have the right to participate and suggested that the government should change the law if it wishes to restrict access.
