Poland to host diaspora congress and regional marshals convention

The VI Congress of the Republika Polonia World Association is scheduled to take place from October 9–12, 2026, in Poland. The event will include integration trips to Biskupin and Gniezno, sightseeing in Poznań, and a religious service in Poznań. The congress will conclude with a conference co-organized with the Institute of National Remembrance, focusing on Polish diaspora education. A primary goal is to develop a National Strategy for creating Polish immersion preschools and schools abroad to support language and cultural preservation for future generations.

Separately, the Convention of Voivodeship Marshals of the Republic of Poland is convening in Płock. Hosted by the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, the meeting addresses critical regional issues including bicycle infrastructure development, the distribution of EU funds after 2027, and combating illegal waste. Key discussions also involve public transport coordination and addressing communication exclusion to ensure residents have reliable access to schools and medical services.
