Poland to host European Karate Cup and World Balloon Championship

Poland will host two major international sporting events in 2026. In Kielce, the Kielce Karate Club will organize the Club European Karate Cup. The event is expected to feature over 370 athletes from 55 clubs across Europe, along with 57 coaches, 30 judges, and 25 officials. Tomasz Pleban, the Starosta of Kielce, emphasized the event's importance for regional promotion and the development of karate in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.

Additionally, Krosno will host the 26th FAI World Hot Air Balloon Championship. This marks the first time Poland has hosted the biennial event. The championship will involve 104 competitors representing 32 countries. The program includes competitive flights, night drone shows, laser shows, and a balloon town with various attractions. The competition schedule is subject to weather conditions, with multiple flight sessions planned throughout the event period.
