Poland to host various Independence Day runs in Kraków and Drzewianowo

Various running events are being organized across Poland to celebrate National Independence Day on November 11, 2026.

In Kraków, the Independence Run features a 10 km route and a symbolic 1,918-meter Independence Mile. To commemorate national colors, participants with even bib numbers will wear red shirts, while those with odd numbers will wear white, creating a human Polish flag at the start. Due to high demand, the participant limit for the 10 km race has been increased from 4,000 to 6,000. The event also includes virtual running options and races for children.

In Drzewianowo, the 16th edition of the Independence Run will take place with various categories for children, youth, and adults. The event includes distances ranging from 50 meters for toddlers to 5 km for adults and older youth. The races are organized by the Association for the Development of Drzewianowo Village and the Mayor of Mrocza.
