Poland to implement new photovoltaic installation regulations

The Polish Ministry of Development and Technology is finalizing a regulation expected to take effect on September 20, establishing new technical requirements for photovoltaic (PV) installations. These rules aim to standardize installation methods and enhance fire safety for both rooftop and balcony-mounted solar systems. Key requirements include specific standards for module placement, ventilation, the use of switches and disconnectors for both DC and AC sides, and mandatory weather and UV resistance for cabling to mitigate electrical arc risks.

In response to the need for durable components, Ospel S. A. has highlighted its UV-resistant corrugated conduits designed for outdoor and underground electrical wiring. These products are engineered to withstand solar radiation, moisture, and temperature fluctuations ranging from -5°C to +60°C. The conduits feature a minimum flammability rating of V-1 and are intended to ensure the long-term safety of PV systems and building foundations by protecting electrical lines from environmental degradation.
