Poland to implement wage, pension, and RTV fee changes in 2027

Several significant financial and regulatory changes are set to take effect in Poland starting January 1, 2027.

Regarding social benefits, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) confirmed that widow's pensions will increase. The portion of the second benefit paid out will rise from 15 percent to 25 percent. This change will be applied automatically by ZUS without requiring new applications from current recipients.

In the labor market, the minimum wage will increase to 4,950 PLN gross, resulting in approximately 3,703 PLN net for full-time employees. The minimum hourly rate for mandate contracts will also rise to 32.30 PLN. Additionally, new rules will increase the amount of salary protected from bailiff seizure.

On the consumer side, the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has decided to raise RTV subscription rates. The monthly fee for television owners will increase from 30.50 PLN to 34.50 PLN, while the radio-only fee will rise from 9.50 PLN to 10.80 PLN. Penalties for using unregistered devices will also increase, reaching 1,035 PLN for televisions and 324 PLN for radios.
