Poland to introduce Business and Management in 2027 matura exams
Starting in the 2026/2027 school year, the Polish high school exit exam (matura) will include 'Business and Management' as a new optional subject. The first exam for this subject is scheduled for May 21, 2027, at 9:00 AM.
This subject, which replaced 'Foundations of Entrepreneurship' on September 1, 2023, will be available exclusively at the extended level. The exam will last 180 minutes, consisting of both closed and open-ended tasks, with a maximum possible score of 50 points. Students will be permitted to use a simple calculator during the test.
The curriculum covers topics such as market economies, personal finance, financial markets, labor markets, entrepreneurship, and the role of the state in the economy. The subject is taught in general high schools, technical schools, and second-stage vocational schools, focusing on practical skills like financial management and economic understanding.
