Poland to receive Patriot missiles from Raytheon and launch NATO maintenance hub

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) awarded Raytheon, a unit of RTX, a contract for up to 1,000 Patriot GEM‑T missiles destined for Poland. The deal was announced at the NATO industry forum in Ankara. The GEM‑T interceptor has a range of about 100 km, a top speed of Mach 5 and can engage tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones and loitering munitions.

At the same NATO summit, Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak‑Kamysz said Poland, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden have signed an agreement to establish a European maintenance centre for advanced PAC‑3 Patriot missiles. The hub will provide shared logistics and sustainment for the allied air‑defence systems, strengthening collective security and operational readiness across the partnership.
