Poland upgrades regional cycling trails in Kutno and Kraków area

In the Kutno region of central Poland, three new cycling routes have been highlighted. The 29‑km, easy‑grade Yellow Trail follows the historic Battle of Bzura route and ends at a war monument in Orłów. A 49‑km Green Trail links a series of historic palaces, manor houses and the 15th‑century Gothic castle in Oporów. The 51‑km Krośniewice‑Grabów trail connects the Kutno and Łęczyca counties, passing villages such as Morawce and Wargawa and offering rest areas with covered shelters.

Near Kraków, the long‑standing “hole” on the Wiślane Cycling Route at Grodzisko hill has been eliminated. A 240‑metre natural‑gravel segment, constructed by the Myślenice Forest District and the Regional Directorate of State Forests, now allows cyclists to stay on their bikes. The broader 655‑metre asphalt section, designed for a 3‑metre‑wide cycleway, improves drainage and safety. The upgrade makes the entire Kraków‑Tyniec‑Skawina stretch fully rideable, attracting families, recreational cyclists and long‑distance tourists alike.
