Poland vehicle markets see tractor sales drop and car registrations decline

The Polish automotive and agricultural machinery markets experienced significant shifts in August 2026. New tractor registrations saw a sharp decline, with only 630 units recorded in August, representing a drop of 280 units compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date data from January to August shows a 22 percent decrease in tractor registrations compared to 2025. Despite the downturn, John Deere led the August tractor market with 100 registrations, narrowly ahead of New Holland, which recorded 97 units.

In the passenger car segment, 45,909 new cars were registered in Poland during August, an 18.3 percent decrease from July, though this figure remains 8.1 percent higher than in August 2025. Toyota remains the market leader, with the Toyota Corolla being the most popular model, recording 2,030 registrations. Other top-performing models included the Kia Sportage and Skoda Octavia, which were the only other vehicles to exceed 1,000 registrations during the month.
