Poland: Warsaw siren tests and military facility trespass incident

Authorities in Poland are managing two separate security-related matters. In Warsaw, the Government Security Centre (RCB) and the city administration have announced a series of alarm siren tests scheduled from September 8 to September 18, 2026. The tests will take place in the Śródmieście, Praga-Południe, Mokotów, Ochota, and Żoliborz districts. Residents will hear short sound signals and voice announcements; officials emphasize that these are routine checks to verify system efficiency and do not indicate any actual danger.

Separately, an incident occurred at the Centre for Foreign Missions Preparation in Kielce. On September 8, around 4:00 AM, an unidentified man attempted to trespass into the military facility using a ladder and a blanket to scale the barbed wire. The intruder fled after being spotted by duty personnel, leaving behind a ladder, a blanket, a cable, and a pole with an extension. Police and Military Gendarmerie are currently investigating whether the attempt was a criminal act or sabotage.
