Poland weather forecast: Warm temperatures to give way to rain and wind

Poland is set to experience a significant weather shift as low-pressure systems and atmospheric fronts move from west to east. While early October begins with relatively warm and sunny conditions, with temperatures reaching up to 23°C in the southeast, a major change is expected starting Thursday.

By Friday, the country will see increased cloud cover and widespread rain, accompanied by a notable drop in temperature. Maximum temperatures are expected to fall to between 12°C and 14°C, with even lower readings in mountainous areas.

Wind conditions will also fluctuate. While initially weak, wind speeds are expected to increase significantly in the Carpathian Mountains, with gusts potentially reaching 80 to 90 km/h. Additionally, meteorological warnings have been issued for dense fog in parts of southern and southeastern Poland, which may reduce visibility to 100–200 meters.
