Polish women's volleyball team drops in FIVB ranking after 2‑3 loss to Canada
On 21 June 2026 the Poland women’s national volleyball team were defeated 2‑3 by Canada in Bangkok during the VNL (Volleyball Nations League) second‑stage tournament. The match ended 23‑25, 25‑21, 16‑25, 25‑11, 13‑15, costing Poland more than 10 ranking points and pushing them from fourth to fifth place in the FIVB standings.
The loss reduces Poland’s chances of qualifying directly for the final‑eight tournament in Macau, making the upcoming matches in Osaka (against Turkey, the United States, Brazil and Japan) decisive.
