Poland’s 14th Pension Payment to Reach Seniors in September 2026

Polish authorities will begin disbursing the annual “14th pension” (czternastka) to retirees and pensioners in September 2026. The full amount equals the minimum pension – 1 978.49 zł gross – and will be paid automatically by ZUS alongside regular benefits. Recipients whose pension or rent does not exceed 2 900 zł gross will receive the full sum; above that threshold the payment is reduced on a 1‑for‑1 basis, with a minimum payout of 50 zł gross. Those earning roughly 4 828.49 zł gross or more will receive no 14th pension at all. Payments will be credited on the standard ZUS dates (1, 6, 10, 15, 20, 25 of the month).

A separate government proposal known as the “Godna emerytura” programme, which would grant an additional 150 zł per month to low‑earning retirees, remains stalled in parliament and has not been enacted.

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy has not announced any changes to the income criteria, and no legislative work is currently planned to amend the current rules.
